Jr High Biology with Lab
Grades 6-8

Extremely hands on, interactive, discussion based and fun!! Small class size. Partnered lab work during every class! Your student will end this course with a deeper admiration of the intricacies of creation and a love for the order that science brings to our lives. They will also build relationships, improve communication skills and gain confidence in a group learning setting.

12 week summer course
Will meet 1 Full Year Science with lab credit requirements.

Meet in Montgomery Thursdays 9-11 am; June 2 -August 16 / contact us for Spring location details.

Cost :: $500 ($275 to register and $225 by beginning of class)

All lab supplies included in tuition.
No required text book.

Course will consist of weekly labs with a partner, interactive discussion to ensure mastery off the material, homework to be prepared for class discussion, 1 final project to be presented to their peers.
Student should allow 1 hour a week outside of class for regular class preparation and additional time for test prep and project. No heavy reading or extensive vocabulary memorization.

4. Fungus Lab: Prepare and View Squash Fungus, Mushroom & Yeast

5. Plant Lab: The Parts of a Flower & Plant Leaves

6. Dissection: Worm – Activity I – External, Activity II – Internal

7. Dissection: Crayfish – Activity I – External, Activity II – Internal

8. Dissection: Grasshopper – Activity I – External, Activity II – Internal

9. Dissection: Fish – Activity I – External, Activity II – Internal

10. Dissection: Frog -Activity I – External, Activity II – Internal

11. Dissection: Cow Eye – Activity I – External, Activity II – Internal
